The top 26 cross country teams from Utah, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Arizona competed in the Nike Cross Nationals (NXN) Southwest Regionals. 

Superintendent Rick Nielsen presented to the Spanish Fork Rotary about the new Nebo PEAK Center. Nebo District developed architect plan designs and began construction on the Nebo PEAK Center in Salem (the old Neways building) that will be ready for students in the fall of 2017.

The Thanksgiving holiday is great time to let you know that we appreciate you for helping us to make Nebo a wonderful place to engage, empower, and collaborate to ensure student success.

Nebo School District continues to produce one of the highest graduation rates in the country. Nebo’s graduation rate is 90 percent, significantly higher than the state average of 85 percent.

The Nebo Education Foundation board had a record number of grants in November. Here are a few more that received funds to meet the many needs across the district.

Students performing surgical procedure on an orange that represented a brain at Landmark High School in Sarah Lewis' psychology class. Students learned about different parts of the brain through this hands-on experience.

Nebo’s Title VI Performing Art, Native American Indian, students were involved in fundraising for Navajo elders. The program raised $12,000 selling Navajo rugs at this event. Adopt-a-Native-Elder (ANE) is a good partner to Nebo’s Indian Education program.

Springville Junior High 9th Graders, Kate Southern and Austin Ewell, received the Springville Mayor’s Recognition Award at November’s City Council Meeting. Both students are excellent examples in reaching out and making a difference in other’s lives.
