Where are we Wednesday, May 5, 2021? Name the place and event that happened in Nebo School District. 

The Nebo Education Foundation board met in May, to discuss the many grants and needs across the district. This Foundation Board functions through generous donations made by individuals and businesses as well as fundraisers where all the money goes to educate students in Nebo School District. 

To celebrate Earth Day on April 30, Westside Elementary student Council planted a tree in front of the school. The students promised to come back in five years to see how much it has grown.

Bart Peery, Principal of Salem Hills High in Nebo School District, was honored with the Secondary Principal Crystal Owl Award during a Nebo Administrator Training in May. This award is provided by Craig Harvey through Horace Mann.             

Lori Nielsen, Principal of Westside Elementary in Nebo School District, was honored with the Elementary Principal Crystal Owl Award during a Nebo Administrator Training in May. This award is provided by Craig Harvey through Horace Mann.

This past year has shown us just how magical our educators really are. You show dedication to our students each and every day!

This past month Canyon Elementary promoted "Be the Magic" by recognizing various superpowers. The April theme was: “April Showers Bring Out Canyon Superpowers.” Many of the superpower notes included caring, kindness, and making friends.

Nebo is thrilled to report on the Rodeo Reading Challenge. Each of our schools did wonderfully well. This year’s theme was “Read More” and Nebo students did just that–they increased their reading from 2,829,227 million minutes to 2,998,884 million minutes.
