Jane Wilson, a sixth-grade student in Shauna Huffaker’s class at Art City Elementary in Nebo School District, was noticed for her fine art work that was completed in the monthly art program where parent helpers come to teach.

Nebo Shines at Utah State Elementary Division I Debate
James Chamberlain and Nathan Galbraith, Hobble Creek Elementary, won the Elementary Division I First Place Affirmative Trophy at the Utah State Debate Meet on April 24.
In late April, sixth-grade students from throughout Nebo School District assembled together and performed what they had been learning all year at a Monster Concert. The Monster Concert program started eight years ago with only four schools participating from the Springville area.
Mr. Ben Gowans, fourth-grade teacher at Park View Elementary in Nebo School District was recognized as a State Finalist for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science Teaching.
Mr. Jethro Gillespie, art teacher at Maple Mountain High School, recently returned from a “National Art Education Association” conference in New Orleans, where he presented.
The Nebo Education Foundation is composed of 20 volunteer board members who live in cities serviced by Nebo School District.
