Usually the Nebo Education Foundation is giving money to those classes, programs, and schools in Nebo School District that need that extra support to enhance student learning. However, this time Nebo Education Foundation is on the receiving end of a donation.

Nebo District’s Legacy Volunteer Mentoring Program

Nebo District’s Legacy Mentoring coordinators presented to Nebo School Board this month. The Legacy Volunteer Mentoring program is designed to match a carefully screened adult volunteer (Mentor) with a child (Mentee) in a school environment.

"Wow" Samantha Sorensen, Art City Elementary 5th grade student, submitted this photo for Reflections last year for the 2008-2009 contest (theme was "Wow"). Samantha received this award for the State level, her picture went on to the National level and won an award of Merit.

Crystal Apple Award Recipient at Foothills Elementary

On Monday, January 11, 2010, Craig Harvey with Horace Mann presented the Crystal Apple Award to Coral Lee Findlay of Foothills Elementary. Mrs. Findlay was nominated by the Foothills faculty for her outstanding performance as a teacher and team member.

Nebo District Weight Lifting Competition

Nebo School District held a district Junior High Weight Lifting Competition a couple of weeks ago. The competition included junior high students in the seventh through ninth grades and was held at Mt. Nebo Junior High School (MNJHS) in Payson.
