The Nebo School Board appointed Seth Spainhower as the Assistant Principal of Salem Hills High School.
Seth received his Bachelor's in Business Marketing from Utah Valley University, followed by his Master’s in Educational Leadership and School Administration.
Seth has been employed by Nebo School District for 11 years. He began his career as a business and marketing teacher at Maple Mountain High for six and a half years before becoming the Dean of Students at Spanish Fork High for three and a half years. He then served as the Dean of Students at Salem Hills High for the past year.
A colleague said about Seth, “One of Seth’s greatest strengths is instructional leadership. I personally see him every day in the classroom working with teachers and students. He is innovative with his instructional practices and is an excellent instructional leader. He is very confident and competent with content and best instructional practices and techniques.”
Seth’s Motto is, “I believe in smiling and finding joy in our lives each and every day! Life will be whatever we make it, and I choose to make it fun! Positive relationships are one of the most important things we can develop, and we will never regret sincerely connecting with people. Kindness, respect, and empathy are crucial for successful relationships and everyone deserves those things. I believe in education and absolutely love coming to work every morning. I am honored to serve in Nebo School District and know that students here are blessed with the best. Words cannot express how grateful I am for the amazing mentors, colleagues, and friends I get to work with daily. We have the best jobs in the world because we get to help the best students in the world!”
Seth is married to Kylee McKell and they have three daughters. Seth thrives on being active and is always on the go. Outside of his career, Seth loves spending time outdoors with his family and friends. The mountains are his happy place. This is where he goes to relieve stress and find joy. Hiking, hunting, fishing, and observing wildlife are some of his favorite activities. His family loves the water and is often found enjoying some type of water activity whenever the sun is out! Athletics have always been a big part of his life so it is easy to find him supporting his family at a variety of different athletic events. Seth's favorite hobby is spending time with his three beautiful daughters. Together they love to adventure and explore everything that life has to offer. They are the highlight of his life and as long as he is with them, he is happy!
