THE PEAK AWARD CUSTOMER SERVICE PROGRAM
Nebo School District wants to showcase our Positive Energy and Kind employees. PEAK Awards are nominated by patrons and recognized by the Superintendent Staff and Nebo School Board of Education. The award is administered by the Communications and Community Relations Department.

Tiffany Anderson, Planning Time Technician, Mt. Loafer Elementary
Nominated by: Monica Valerio, Phyllis Peterson, Jill Hanks

“Tiffany has always been an outstanding employee; but this year, she has gone above and beyond! She was willing to be trained on her own time and has helped us with assessments when we were short handed. Tiffany always finds time to squeeze in one more student who needs intervention. She is eager to learn and consistently seeks out feedback for improvement. Tiffany is always willing to lend an extra hand and has a smile on her face while doing it. Mt. Loafer students and staff benefit from her positive attitude and tremendous work ethic. Thanks for all you do, Tiffany!”

“Tiffany is currently a computer planning time technician at Mt. Loafer Elementary. This year, she went above and beyond her job responsibilities in extending her current role as planning time technician to adding instructional technician for kindergarten, student supervision, Acadience testing, and jumping in to do anything that is needed at the school. She does it all with a smile. She is a contributing member to our staff and is willing to learn anything she needs to in order to support student growth and success. Tiffany is currently earning her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education where I am confident that she will continue to hone her skills in all facets of education. Tiffany is an invaluable staff member at Mt. Loafer Elementary. The students and staff are fortunate to have her at the school.”

Tiffany Erickson, Skills Coach, Foothills Elementary
Nominated by: Angela Stoddard

“Tiffany works with and cares about some of our hardest students. As a skills coach, she has built relationships with the students that need behavior support and is always positive and kind with them. The students know she cares and trust her. Our behavior students are making great improvements and working hard to make good choices at school. Tiffany is proactive and works many extra hours looking for lesson ideas and new ways to help students thrive in their behavior goals. She is willing to help wherever needed--whether it is on recess duty, covering a teacher's class, or making copies. We are so lucky to have Tiffany at Foothills!”

Mandy Young, Digital Coach, Landmark & Diamond Fork Middle
Nominated by: Cecily Yeager, Kelly Taylor, Shoshauna Jacquart, Brenda Burr, Monica Giffing, SueAnn Harding

“Mandy is extremely knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to tech training and troubleshooting! She invites teachers to expand and innovate their use of Ed Tech in the classroom. Since Mandy has her own extensive expertise with various technologies, it makes it easier for any teacher to adopt unfamiliar techniques and platforms. She approaches most situations with humor and diffuses even the most stressful situations with a funny quip or even a bad pun (my favorite!). Mandy does a great job with follow-up too. Even after an issue is resolved or new tech learned, she will take the time to check in and check that things are going well. Mandy represents the best-of-the-best here in the Nebo School District!”

“Mandy shows up regularly to check in with our administration to ensure that we understand the changes that are happening to programs, as well as common things that she has been working on around our building. When we have questions, she is ready and available to answer! As we transitioned to a new middle school last year, she showed up to provide personalized training to our teachers over multiple sessions so that they could all make the jump to Canvas and continued to provide support to them throughout the year. Mandy has appointments scheduled with teachers to help them navigate and problem solve--especially our math and science teams. But, she can often be found getting our elective teachers set up on Canvas, navigating why programs aren't talking to one another, exploring new apps, etc. In her coaching cycles, she focuses on what is important to teachers, not what is important to her. Overall, through her humor and easy-going approach, more of our teachers access technology and are willing to approach new strategies because Mandy provides such great support! We are so grateful for her!”

“I have been impressed with how present Mandy is. Even though she mentors at many schools, when I send her an email, she is quick to respond, and often quick to show up to help me. I do not often get stuck with technology, but I have been grateful that Mandy is my go to person when I do get stuck. If she cannot figure it out, she will go digging and get me an answer in a relatively short time period.”

“Mandy is amazing! She shows up as soon as she can whenever we have a concern. She will spend hours researching a project for us to help us with technology. She has spent many hours with teachers who need to learn new software and improve their canvas classrooms.”

“Mandy's dedication to helping students and teachers learn and be successful with technology is unparalleled. I know she spends countless hours of her own time trying to troubleshoot and clarify the best ways to apply technology to alleviate struggles for teachers the next day. We appreciate her cheerful countenance and sense of humor from the attendance office and through the classrooms of Landmark. Mandy is truly an asset to the lucky schools she is assigned.”

Tammy Prescott, Librarian, Rees Elementary
Nominated by: Heidi Groneman, Clarissa Putman, Tonya Painter, Ashley Roberts

“Tammy has always been more than willing to help in any way. She began the year as an intervention tutor, helping instruct students in Heggerty. Anytime other students needed help, she would take them into her groups, cover for those that were sick or unable to come to work, and also helped with take-home library every day after her intervention groups were done. Also, Tammy has always been willing to fill in as a substitute in a classroom when we didn't have a sub fill. She is patient, kind, always has a smile on her face, and does whatever she can for the school. Right before Christmas break, she accepted a position as our school librarian. She spent a lot of the break working in the library to decorate and make it her own space. We are so lucky to have Tammy as part of our team at Rees because she makes it a better place!”

“Tammy is one amazing person! She has moved through several different jobs within Rees and has excelled at all of them. She is always happy to fill in as a substitute when we are shorthanded and does everything with a smile and with her best foot forward. Tammy perfectly embodies a person with Positive Energy And Kindness! The second you meet Tammy, you will see why!”

“Tammy has worn many hats this year from a reading specialist, take-home books, lunch supervision, substitute, and now our librarian. She always has a smile on her face and is always willing to help out when needed. She has decorated the library and has spent countless hours preparing and the library is fantastic.”

“Tammy is incredible. She always goes above and beyond what she is asked to do, and does so with a smile on her face. Whenever the school was short staffed, Tammy would jump in and help out. She has taken on a new role as a librarian and done amazing! Rees is so lucky to have Tammy!”

Mike Hales, Maintenance, District Wide
Nominated by: Rhet Rowle
y
“Mike has been at our school a lot these past two years. During our remodel, we had to shuffle a lot of teachers and classrooms for various reasons and amounts of time as well as coordinate with different district maintenance departments for various jobs. Mike helped coordinate all of that even though it wasn't his responsibility. He does an exceptional job with his responsibilities and goes above and beyond--always. We joke that he is now part of our faculty and our school because he helps us out so much.”

Alyssa Christensen, Teacher, Maple Grove Middle
Nominated by: Lily Palmer

“Alyssa has been so easy to co-teach with. I always feel welcomed and valued in her classroom. She is easy to collaborate with and is a team-player. I have also seen her help students in and out of her classroom. She is a favorite among students and has such a positive classroom environment.”
