Jennifer Grant Appointed Principal of Brookside Elementary

The Nebo School Board of Education appointed Jennifer Grant as Principal of Brookside Elementary for Nebo School District.

Jennifer earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and her master’s in Education, both from Brigham Young University.

For the past three years, Ms. Grant has served as the facilitator at Sage Creek Elementary. She served as Instructional Coach at Meadow Brook and Larsen Elementary for two years and taught fourth grade and third grade at Art City Elementary for fourteen years and second grade at Snake River Elementary in Idaho for three years.

Ms. Grant was honored at the Teacher of the Year for Art City Elementary in 2016 and has served as a board member on the Region 10 PTA.

Jennifer said, “Throughout my career, I have been blessed to work with some of Nebo’s finest administrators, teachers, staff members, coaches, and district leaders, each of whom have been dedicated to the best education for our students. Not only did they give their best to students, but they also have left an impression on me and have helped shape me into the person I am today. I am grateful for the many students and parents whom I’ve had the privilege of teaching and working with. They, too, have made a difference in my life. I am honored, excited, and humbled to be appointed as the Principal of Brookside Elementary and look forward to joining the staff, parents, students, and stakeholders in providing a high quality education to every student, every day.”

A colleague said, “Jennifer has exceptional professionalism. She is dedicated to her profession and is highly competent in the field of literacy and has served as instructional coach for several years. Whether it is a struggling student or a high achiever, Jennifer structures her support so every student can achieve mastery. She works well with teachers and school administration and has expert pedagogy and literacy knowledge. Jennifer possesses the character traits needed to be an excellent administrator.”

One of Jennifer’s favorite quotes: “Cherish the little things.”

Jennifer serves on humanitarian trips to the Dominican Republic to help with medical and dental work. She enjoys traveling, four-wheeling in the mountains of Idaho, camping, making photo books, and spending time with family.
