The Nebo School Board of Education appointed Teresa Jordan as Principal of East Meadows Elementary for Nebo School District.

Teresa received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Utah Valley University and a master’s degree in Education as well as an Educational Leadership Certification license both from Brigham Young University.

Mrs. Jordan taught fourth grade at Park Elementary, Spring Lake Elementary, and Park View Elementary for six years. She served as a district literacy specialist for two years and as a clinical faculty associate with the BYU partnership program. For the past five years Mrs. Jordan served as principal of Spring Lake Elementary. She served as facilitator at Maple Ridge and Westside Elementary for eight years.

Some awards Teresa has received include a Crystal Apple Award at Westside Elementary, Nebo School District PEAK Award, and the Principal Student Advocate of the Year Award at Spring Lake Elementary.

Mrs. Jordan stated, “I have always personally believed that the best way to improve outcomes for children is to create spaces where teachers and staff are supported to continually learn, grow, improve, and thrive.  Where teachers are thriving, children are thriving.”

A colleague said, “Teresa is a wonderful principal, teacher, mentor, and facilitator who works to inspire students and other teachers. She effectively observes teachers, provides them with feedback and instruction, and models teaching concepts that need strengthening. She works well in communication to inspire students and teachers.”

“Mentoring has been a huge part of my journey as an educator and continues to be at the heart of my daily work. I am so grateful for the many amazing mentors, colleagues, and friends here in Nebo School District who have helped keep my passion and love for education alive and going strong for 25 years. I am also grateful to the hundreds of children who make me think, smile, and laugh out loud every single day,” said Teresa.

Teresa enjoys cooking, baking, and sharing great recipes. She also enjoys snow skiing at Sundance and wake surfing at Lake Powell. In her spare time she loves to plan vacations for her family, reading, and spending time with the people she loves. Teresa is married to Korry. They have four children.
