The Nebo School Board of Education appointed Celeste Gledhill as Elementary Curriculum Coordinator for Nebo School District.
Celeste earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University and a master’s degree in Education Administration from Southern Utah University.
Ms. Gledhill has served as Elementary Supervisor for the past three years, Principal of East Meadows Elementary for five years, and as Principal of Mapleton Elementary for six years. She taught kindergarten through sixth grades at various schools for 13 years before becoming a principal.
A colleague said, “Celeste’s top strengths as an educational leader are being a calm and logical thinker even in times of crisis. She is a curriculum innovator and all aspects of her school benefit from this quality. Her leadership creates a positive learning environment and a strong sense of teamwork. Celeste is dependable and professional and is a leader among her peers.”
Some of Ms. Gledhill’s mottos include: “One small positive thought in the morning will change your whole day.” And, “We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves stronger. It is the same amount of work.”
“It is exciting to watch the dedication of teachers and the light in the children’s eyes as learning takes place,” said Ms. Gledhill. “I have benefitted from many influences of family, friends, coworkers, and church leaders that have made a difference in my life. I am grateful for all of the people I have been blessed to know throughout all areas of my life.”
Celeste enjoys reading, running, cooking, crafts, and family activities.
