For the past few weeks, choir teachers and students from Nebo junior high and middle schools gathered at the Nebo Summit Center. These intermediate and advance choir ensembles were able to perform and delighted the audience.

Due to COVID, these festivals were cancelled last year. Nebo School District is proud of the dedication and fortitude of these programs including teachers, parents, and students as they took the stage this year and music again filled the halls. These students and teachers proved that they have not only survived, but thrived!

“The end of year assessment is always valuable feedback for the teachers and students. This year, there was a feeling of 'extra' in the air. You saw it in the body language of the students as they entered the backstage area. We could feel it in the audience as they watched the performers on stage. We heard it in the voices of the adjudicators as they celebrated being a part of the performance process. Everyone has sacrificed a lot over the last year. It was a relief to keep these two events on the calendar!” stated Karen Kidd, Nebo District Fine Arts Specialist.

Congratulations to Kaci Whitby for answering the “Where are we Wednesday?” challenge sponsored by Wiggy Wash.
